Facilities for differently-abled students The University provides some special facilities for the differently abled students to provide them with quality education and to bring them into the mainstream of society. The facilities are listed below. RAMPS AND RAILINGS: The University has a special facility of ramps and rails for the differently abled students. Near the main entrance of the University building, the ramp is identifiable and easily accessible. Floor steps and ramps have handrails for support. WHEELCHAIR FACILITY: The University provides a wheelchair facility for disabled students. SPECIAL TOILETS: Toilets and classrooms are available at the University to facilitate the visits of differently abled students. Library Facilities: With the support of various assistive technologies, the university has set up a Disability Corner to make our library accessible, which can offer services to disabled students will enhance their learning experience. o Digital Library Access Facility(In-Campus and Remote Access) o Audio-Visual Collection Access facility o Computer Laboratory Access Facility o Access to NVDA (Non Visual Desktop Access) screen-reading Software o Access to Free E-Resources for Differently Abled Students through a special portal created on the library website SPECIAL TEACHING/LEARNING: The following teaching and learning techniques are practised in the University for disabled students, which make the students' educational process more comfortable. Online Teaching Wi-Fi Facility Online Examinations Special class/special attention Special Library SCRIBE FOR EXAMINATION: The University allows students who find difficulty in writing in the examination to take the help of scribes. The extra time is allowed for the disabled for the examination. RESERVATION IN ADMISSION: The University provides reservations for differently abled students as per the university guidelines.
