About the Centre for Cyber Laws and Security Centre for Cyber Laws and Security (CCLS) under the aegis of Himachal Pradesh National Law University, Shimla (HPNLU), is a welcome initiative that will contribute to the development of a robust legal framework and effective strategies to combat cybercrime and enhance cyber Security in India. The advancement in Information Technology has revolutionized almost all areas of human endeavor. Consequently, information security challenges and the vulnerability of cyberspace have resulted in a complex regulatory framework. CCLS aims to inculcate information security and cyber law matrix dynamics from a techno-legal perspective through the blended skill of Law and Technology. CCLS works to ensure that more and more stakeholders of cyberspace develop a better understanding of its technical and legal nuances and are abreast with the recent developments in its regulations. Aims and Objective 1. To spread awareness, providing education and training related to various issues related to cyber laws, such as cybercrimes, contraventions, cyber security, and developing strategies to combat cybercrime. 2. To organize workshops, seminars, and conferences to create awareness about cybercrime and security among various stakeholders, including students, professionals, and policymakers. CCLS will also engage in advocacy and outreach activities to promote cyber safety and security among the general public. 3. To review existing regulatory frameworks concerning Cyber Laws and Security for further development and organize multidisciplinary activities that promote cyberspace research, innovation, and education. 4. To provide a platform for students, professionals, and researchers to collaborate and share their knowledge and expertise in international cyber law and security cooperation with other institutions and organizations in India and abroad. 5. To offer courses covering topics such as cybercrime investigation, digital evidence collection, cyber forensics, cybersecurity, and data protection to foster research and studies in Cyber Law and Security.
